A forgotten soul

sculpture made for an installation being placed on a forgotten grave in Belgium. 

I wrote the following text for it: 

Forgotten Graves of Forgotten Souls

Overgrown by new life.

Crumbled, sometimes decayed.

What once was is now a forgotten existence.

But not today.

A mushroom rises above faded tales.

In quiet, he keeps vigil,

guards and remembers the grave 

even when others have forgotten.
